This Social Side Gig involves visiting people in their homes to provide community care in and around Edinburgh.

Shifts start at 08:00 or 17:00. Weekends can be double-shifts if desired.

Typical home-care tasks include:

• helping clients wake up, wash and dress for the day

• talk and reminisce about times past

• prepare healthy meals

• schedule and collect medication

• take care of the shopping

• ease the burden by looking after everyday chores

• accompany clients on visits to friends and family

• help clients settle into bed at night

• go for walks together

£12.60 per hour

Supporting a person with a long term and enduring condition such as learning disability, mental health issues, dementia and autism to live independently in the community and in specialist, supported accommodation.

Part-Time Contract: sleepover shifts, early shifts starting from 8am, and evening shifts up to 9pm available.

Cycle to Work Scheme; Fully Funded PVG and 1st Year Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council paid by Ark.
